In today's world, physical activity & lifestyle patterns in a child's years has not been promising.
Studies have shown that 90% of kids watch TV before the age of 2, despite recommendations that screen time should be limited to zero hours.
It has been MCM's goal to build the foundation to sustain physical activity throughout a person's life and special thanks goes out to Ruben Flores for taking this initiative.
His persistence came to fruition in January 2010 with the creation of Oakville MCM Grasshopper; 10 sessions of 19 registered kids between the age of 4-10.
Physical activity, social interaction, & instilling a positive attitude on and off the pitch, are some of the skills our Grasshoppers have learned.
Through word-of-mouth, the Grasshopper's 2nd session was even more successful with 22 kids getting registered. Events such as an Easter egg hunt and an End-of-Year party has brought the Oakville MCM Family even closer.
