MCMII vs. Brampton
Game Result: MCMII 0 vs. Brampton 1
The MCM2 team knew going into this Friday night make up game that if they won there last 4 matches it would secure the league title for the club.
The game started well for MCM, with chances being created and a few shots testing the Brampton keeper but the game moved towards half time Brampton started to match MCM in every department. A Brampton free kick from 40 yards out was floated in and a combination of some woeful defending from MCM2 a goalkeeping error saw Brampton take the lead with a very soft goal. After this Brampton moved 11 players behind the ball and worked hard to win every second ball to seal a win.
Terrible performance from MCM2 and could make the difference come the end of the season...
MCMII vs. Georgetown
Game Result: MCMII 4 vs. Georgetown 0
After a disappointing game on Friday night, the MCM players really looked up for this game. MCM2 took control right from the start with the first of 4 goals coming from a free kick which was converted by Rogerio Marques neatly into the bottom corner. MCM then added another before the break from Chris Francis and were in total command. More of the same in the second half saw 2 more MCM goals kill off Georgetown and re-established MCM2 back to the form they have shown all season.
This now gives MCM2 at least second place in the league ( baring goal difference ) and we will have to see how SMT do in their games for the title.
Great win guys...
MCMIII vs. Ebony
Game Result : MCMIII vs. Ebony - Rained out
Wellington boots and spiffy MCM rain jackets were the order of the day as MCM III made the long journey to Wildwood Park, only to be informed that the game had been cancelled due to flooding. On a closer inspection by both coaches, there could be no argument. The water-logged field clearly displayed more puddles than the floor of a AMC theatre after a scary movie.
Team spirit could not be dampened and team strategy changed, which saw us float to a nearby restaurant for a hearty breakfast. Tactic for next weeks game were discussed and a good time was had by all.
A late substitution saw midfielder David Millar sliding IN to order the Breakfast Special. Unfortunate for Dave, he had earlier slide OFF the ON ramp of the highway in his effort to make the first eleven. Nothing a tow truck couldn't put right and for this reason, David is the recipient of the Man of the Match award for dedication to his team.
MCM Carworx vs. Pompay
Game Result: MCM Carworx 0 vs. Pompay 5
The Baby Blue had their work cut out for them this week as they faced an eager Pompay squad who were looking for revenge. After the pregame shoving match between the two head bench bosses, and a change of depends for the oppositions manager the game was under way. Not a load of offense for Carworx this night, a post, a cross bar or two, a few break aways that were called offside and that really was it. Pompay really had much of the play and slotted 5 goals into the MCM goal. Although there appeared to be a lack of possession by MCM they did not give up with out a fight. Even Mcm veteran Ruben "Tequila's till sunrise" Flores could be seen slide tackling opponents late into the second half. Andy " Put My head down and run like the Dickins" Davies was also able to fire off a bicycle kick that tested the net minder from the opposition. Unfortunately it just wasn't MCM's night as every attempt game up lame.

From every loss you must search for the positive. I am happy that our squad remained together the entire game, with no bickering or finger pointing. In addition, I am equally impressed at the fight we showed, there was a never say die attitude from all. We needed this loss, we are not as good as we think we are.... so we take this and learn and I know one thing!!! Revenge will be awesome!!!!!
