For MCM I it was good to be back home at Shell after several weeks away from home. In tropical conditions and with a small squad, MCM were put under pressure by an Oakville Athletic team kitted out in a nifty Barcelona strip and doing their best to perform like their illustrious twins
After 25 minutes Athletic did the worst thing possible...they went 1-0 up.
This galvanized MCM into action and within 10 minutes were 3-1 up.
The rout continued in the second half until the ref decided enough was enough for the visitors with 15 minutes to go.
Chris Burton with a fine hat trick, Joey Bilotta with a tidy brace, the marauding Phil Kennedy with 2 fine strikes and a nice finish from Thomas Atkinson did the damage.

MCMII vs. Burlington

MCM2 started this game very slowly partly due to the many players that were away and high humidity, Burlington owned the first 20 minutes of the first half but rally only created one meaningful chance, a low shot from just inside the area which was well saved by Greg Marshall in the MCM net.
As MCM2 started to get in the game so the chances came with near misses from Brad Jenkins and Chris Francis before a Kafu netted a great low shot which whizzed in off the post. With 5 minutes remaining in the half MCM were awarded a penalty after Sean Cahill was bought down in the area, this was converted by Kafu.
The start of the second half was controlled by MCM with many chances being created, some great keeping form the Burlington keeper saved his side further embarrassment. A 3rd goal came from another penalty which was again converted again by Kafu for his hat trick. MCM then sat back to hold onto their lead and apart from yet another penalty this time awarded for a foul by John Steward which was not converted due to a great save by Greg Marshall, Burlington had nothing. In the final minute a clearance from the MCM defence broke to Brad Jenkins who put a beautiful ball into Andy Davis who slotted home from distance with ease to score his first goal for MCM.
Great win lads and 4 more games and the title will be ours..

Looking to make up goal differential as we chase 1st place Good Guys, MCM III came out focused.
We scored early and often in a result that was never in doubt. Great building point was to see 6 different goal scorers as we all know contribution from everyone is essential to a strong season.
Goal Scorers: Sid da Silva, Mike Borelli, Gianni Piccolo, Dave Miller, Jim Heffron, Mario Ruiz.
Man of the Match: The entire squad for the team effort!
MCM Carworx vs. Mimico
Game Result: MCM Carworx 3 vs. Mimico 3
Feeling like members of the Salvation army, the baby blue put a few of their force on loan to the Mimico squad who showed up with not enough men to field a team. Giving them the Marty Brodeur of soccer The Cat burgler was left between the pipes for Mimico. The red opposition had most of the play and even played 1 min and a half up a main due to the nursery school disorganization. The first two goals were by Mimico. One a decent strike in the bottom corner and the second due to a TINKERBELL SNIPIER that caused a flop in the box buy the MIAMI INKED forward from the other team which resulted in a penalty kick awarded to Mimico.
Carworx regrouped at the half seeing their unbeaten record on the line. Enter Nesha " Jenny Craig Pill" Stefanovic who tapped home three goals to draw even. Late in the second half a great through ball by Behn " another Guinness please" Wurthman to Phil " hmmmm lets think about this , PK on a sharp angle or Nesha with an open goal, hmmmmm what should I do? ya blast it into the keeper" Kennedy. On the Positive side at least PK hit the net this time. This selfless act earned PK his second Buzzard of the 2010 campaign.
Final score was 3 all!
